Stud Stadium is my creation of an MLB-style Lego stadium, borrowing aspects of many existing stadiums, including Wrigley Field, Fenway Park, and Coors Field. Stud Stadium is the home of Clutchers, a team of Lego mini figures from the CMF line. After building a baseball stadium with my childhood collection, I wanted to create something more realistic looking once Lego released the Clutchers and Stackers figures in the collectible mini figures sets. The overall size is around 5′ by 5′.
The stadium features a large, ivy colored, blue wall along left field, and a shorter wall along center and right field. Behind right field is the bullpen area, with Clutchers relief pitchers warming up. Behind the right field seats is a large scoreboard, featuring the lineups for the Clutchers, and their opponent, the Stackers.
The front of the stadium features customer banners for the Stackers starting lineup, featuring: Blocky O’Brick (C), Flexo Hingers (1B), Ace Interlock (2B), Studley Stacks (3B), Shortstop Studson (SS), Manny Moldline (RF), Captain Clicklock (CF), Benny Bricksworth (LF) and Pitcher Polybag (SP),
The focal point is the main entrance, featuring three gates with ushers greeting fans, and a large clock. One side features a ticket office and a side entrance with multiple gates. The other side features a dual-gated entrance, and the backside near right right features a small eating area, with a hog dog stand, and trophies on display.
The second level features large glass windows to showcase the enclosed concourse, complete with food stands and bathrooms.
Above the home dugout is the Clutchers’ mascot, a baseball themed eagle with wings. Above the visiting team’s dugout are a pair of costumed dancing chicks. There are a lot of fun fans in attendance, including Iron Man, Beaker, Marge Simpson, the Penguin, Ralph Wiggum and the Captain America.
